Casey’s purpose

Casey Rovinski M.Ed., CCC-SLP is a state licensed, nationally certified pediatric speech-language pathologist and parenting with autism coach. Casey’s passion to walk side by side parents on their journey with their autistic child has grown tremendously as she has continuously experienced the yearning from mothers and fathers to do all that it takes for their babies, but without meaningful and proper support. Casey’s inspiration stems from the outpouring of love she is able to witness in a parent’s dedication to their child and the courage it takes to get back in it with them every single day.

Casey’s intent is to weave her knowledge of early language development into the connections that she is able to inspire between a parents and their child. She is determined in helping parents of neurodivergent children rediscover their innate power in being and understanding the way their babies “work”.

Casey is inspired by conscious parenting models, spiritual psychology, embodiment exercises, sensory processing, and healing childhood trauma as it pertains to a parent and a child’s growth in relationship and communication skills.

She currently owns a private practice in Tampa, Fl called Speak Outside The Box (SOTB), specializing in the evaluation and treatment of various developmental delays including autism, CAS (Childhood apraxia of speech), and speech delay. Her team of Speech-Language Patholgoists are dedicated to providing deeply meaningful intervention to children ages birth to school-aged in their homes, daycares, or preschools. They work closely with parents and other team members including occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, feeding specialists, and special educators to facilitate a multi-disciplinary approach centering around a child’s interests, daily routines, natural interactions, and overall ability to connect with their world. SOTB specializes in teaching language within meaningful play, parent/child connections, and social emotional skills.

& her approach

Casey’s intervention approach for neurodivergent children includes techniques from DIR Floortime, The Hanen Centre, and The Play Project in order to maintain meaningful interactions between parents and their children. She implements therapy under a “total Communication” approach, utilizing and providing opportunities with augmentative communication systems and supporting a child’s unique communication.

Both Casey and her team and SOTB follow a child-directed, developmental approach building upon a child’s interests and prioritizes needs based on functionality, as it is their goal to increase your child’s success interacting within their everyday world. Casey is dedicated to inspiring acceptance, connection over compliance, and instilling neurodivergent affirming practices. Her purpose stems from a deep yearning to build connection within herself, the children she serves, their parents, our community, and the word we live in.

Casey is truly moved by the lessons she learns from the parents and children on her caseload and is continuously inspired to serve from a deeper place everyday day because of it.

Casey grew up in Rochester, NY and currently resides in St. Petersburg Fl with her beloved, Zach and sweet pup, Mobi. Her interests include nature, mindful movement, plant babies, traveling and connecting and loving deeply within her sacred partnership with her man. Casey holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the state of Florida. She graduated at the top of her class with a master’s degree in communication disorders and sciences.
